Winners get N16m in MTN promo

MTN Nigeria has distributed over N6m to some winners in the ongoing MTN Ultimate Wonders Promo.
During the presentation of the cash gifts at Jogor Centre, Ibadan on Friday, cheques of N2m each were given to two winners, Kika Frank and Tijani Olalekan.
Sixteen other winners also received cheques of N150,000 each.
An MTN official, Mrs. Omotoke Adegbite, said that the overall winner of the promo would be given a light aeroplane valued at N64m.
A pilot, Captain Akintunde Sotomi, who spoke to the audience on the occasion, said that the aeroplane to be given to the overall winner could fly Abuja to Ibadan in about two and half hours.
Sotomi said, “This kind of plane, capable of flying four people, can be a good source of revenue to the owner just as it can aid a businessman in overcoming challenges of traffic gridlock and maximising time.”
Adegbite said, “No other telecommunications company has ever given an aeroplane as a star prize in Nigerian. MTN is committed to putting smiles on the faces of the people.”
Dummy cheques of amounts won were given to the winners.
Olalekan, a telecommunications operator in Ibadan, said, “I am very happy and I now believe that the promo is real.
“After playing, I just received a call telling me that I have won N2m.”
Two popular Nollywood artistes, Chief Lere Paimo, a.k.a Eda Onileola and Olumide Bakare were in attendance on the occasion.
