Cashless policy and N5000 note

While the main objective of the cashless policy is to reduce cash holding and associated costs, the N5000 note is intended to reduce cost of materials, printing, transport and ultimately make cash holding easy and convenient to carry about. There is therefore potential conflict between the two objectives. The way forward now is to trade-off one i.e, either the cashless policy or the N5000 note should be dropped. They do not complement each other.
